Protein Angel Food Cake

Ingredients

7 room temp egg whites (use white from real eggs, not carton)

1/2 scoop of protein powder (I used strawberries and cream Whey Tech Pro 24 Protein) 1 tsp cream of tartar 1 tsp vanilla 2 packets Stevia to taste (or any sugar substitute)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 315* and spray any cake pan with vegetable/canola oil (I used a bundt pan).

  2. Put all ingredients except the Protein powered in a bowl.

  3. Beat egg whites, vanilla, cream of tartar and Stevia with an electric mixer until firm peaks form.

  4. Fold in protein powder carefully. Try not to over mix this because you don't want to deflate the egg white mixture.

  5. Place all of the batter into the pan and let cook for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Tip: You can use any flavor protein powder that you have! Make sure you use real egg whites and not the carton ones they don't whip up the same way. Put on any toppings you want! Some keto/contest prep toppings include strawberries, Reddi Wip, Walden farms syrup, pb1 peanut butter, coco nibs, etc...

I ate mine plain it was just as good. It does start to deflate a little after it cools but it's still equally as tasty! This truly is HEAVEN SENT!
