Chris Chinn is the President and Co-Owner of Sweat City Fitness. His belief is that diligence, self-motivation, and commitment are the keys to developing the physical ability and confidence necessary to achieve success. Chris graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. He holds training certifications from ACE-Personal Training, NASE-Speed and Explosiveness, and CFSC-Functional Strength.

Athletically, Chris was an All-County baseball and soccer playerin high school, as well as an All-Bay Area wide receiver/defensive back for his CIF Central Coast Section Division III Champion football team. Unfortunately, Chris’ competitive playing days ended when he suffered 2 severe knee injuries in college.  As a result, he strongly emphasizes the importance of injury-prevention through the development of muscular strength, joint stability, flexibility, and proper body mechanics to his athletes.

Co-Owner Zac Pruitt’s primary focus is Sweat City’s circuit training program.  He has served as Sweat City’s head boot camp and circuit trainer from day one.  Positive reinforcement and encouragement are the cornerstones of his training philosophy and approach. He believes that any goal, whether in life or fitness, is possible with the right amount of dedication, perseverance, and hard work.

Zac was born and raised in Santa Barbara and received his undergraduate degree from UCLA.  Zac also has experience as an athletic performance training instructor and has helped many Sweat City athletes shave time off their 40 & 100 yard dashes. His love for sports started as a young kid, peaked in high school when he was a three-sport athlete, and continues to this day.  Zac is a Certified Functional Strength Coach.

Before joining Sweat City, Emilie spent her time in various boutique studios through out LA learning different methods while working on the operations teams. Prior to that, she trained private clients, led group training sessions, and volunteered on fitness retreats on the beautiful beaches of Malibu and in the mountains of Salt Lake City.

Athletically, she played tennis, squash, lacrosse, softball, and ran track in high school, and she walked on to the rowing team in college. Ask her about her various injuries and broken bones she’s had, and she may motivate you to get back moving if you are recovering from an injury; or, if you’re looking to learn about injury prevention, she can help you with this as well. If she were to have one mission in her work and in her life, it would be to pay it forward, and never lose hope!
