CHRIS CHINN
OWNER
ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE DIRECTOR

Chris Chinn is the President and Co-Owner of Sweat City Fitness. His belief is that diligence, self-motivation, and commitment are the keys to developing the physical ability and confidence necessary to achieve success. Chris graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. He holds training certifications from ACE-Personal Training, NASE-Speed and Explosiveness, and CFSC-Functional Strength.

Athletically, Chris was an All-County baseball and soccer playerin high school, as well as an All-Bay Area wide receiver/defensive back for his CIF Central Coast Section Division III Champion football team. Unfortunately, Chris’ competitive playing days ended when he suffered 2 severe knee injuries in college.  As a result, he strongly emphasizes the importance of injury-prevention through the development of muscular strength, joint stability, flexibility, and proper body mechanics to his athletes.

ZAC PRUITT
OWNER
FITNESS DIRECTOR

Co-Owner Zac Pruitt’s primary focus is Sweat City’s circuit training program.  He has served as Sweat City’s head boot camp and circuit trainer from day one.  Positive reinforcement and encouragement are the cornerstones of his training philosophy and approach. He believes that any goal, whether in life or fitness, is possible with the right amount of dedication, perseverance, and hard work. 

Zac was born and raised in Santa Barbara and received his undergraduate degree from UCLA.  Zac also has experience as an athletic performance training instructor and has helped many Sweat City athletes shave time off their 40 & 100 yard dashes. His love for sports started as a young kid, peaked in high school when he was a three-sport athlete, and continues to this day.  Zac is a Certified Functional Strength Coach.

EMILIE RATAJCZAK
FITNESS TRAINER

Before joining Sweat City, Emilie spent her time in various boutique studios through out LA learning different methods while working on the operations teams. Prior to that, she trained private clients, led group training sessions, and volunteered on fitness retreats on the beautiful beaches of Malibu and in the mountains of Salt Lake City.

Athletically, she played tennis, squash, lacrosse, softball, and ran track in high school, and she walked on to the rowing team in college. Ask her about her various injuries and broken bones she’s had, and she may motivate you to get back moving if you are recovering from an injury; or, if you’re looking to learn about injury prevention, she can help you with this as well. If she were to have one mission in her work and in her life, it would be to pay it forward, and never lose hope!

KIND BUTLER
ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE SPECIALIST
TEAM USA GOLD MEDAL WINNER!
 

Kind Butler is a professional athlete for Team USA. “Never give up on your dreams” is his training philosophy. He believes anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself. Kind graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fitness Specialist.

Athletically, Kind is a 7x All-American, Gold-Medalist and World Record Holder. Kind set Indiana University school records in the 60m, 100m, 200m, 4 x 400m, and 4 x 100m. Kind then went on to represent Team USA team 6 times. Kind was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN; there he held speed and agility camps for the YMCA. With a speed and agility background, Kind plans to share his knowledge to help our young athletes become great.

SYDNEY NEWMAN
FITNESS TRAINER

Sydney grew up in South Florida as a competitive gymnast and dancer. She graduated from the Florida State University and now lives in Los Angeles where she maintains her active and healthy lifestyle.
 

Prior to joining the Sweat City team, she personal trained private clients and taught Barre classes. Now she specializes in HIIT and circuit training to help people achieve their fitness goals in the most effective and efficient ways possible. Her dance and gymnastics background help her motivate and push you, all with a smile on her face that will help you stay positive and keep you pushing through your workout!

NIC KNERR
FITNESS TRAINER

A California native, Nic grew up near San Luis Obispo where he competed in several athletics before moving north and graduating from San Francisco State University.

 

Nic is a NASM certified personal trainer who specializes in HIIT and endurance training. His competitive nature serves as a device to encourage others to train at their highest potential in order to achieve desired results.  

Nic currently enjoys playing in local adult flag football and softball leagues.

MICHELLE ROSE
ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE

One thing that doesn't change with age is the importance of fundamentals. This is what makes Michelle a great coach and athlete. She does not sell herself or others short by sticking to mediocrity. With previous coaching experience ranging in all ages, she hopes to share the importance of a positive work ethic and love for sports.
 

Michelle received her undergraduate degree from California State University-Fresno where she competed in both Lacrosse and Track and Field.  In her senior season she finished 34 th in the nation in javelin while also receiving Academic All-American honors. After college she pursued her passion in soccer and currently competes at the semi professional level. She has always felt a special connection to athletics that drives her to give back to the next generation.

CATHEE HILL
MARKETING/SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR
AKA "LIL SWEETIE"

Cathee is the Marketing and Social Media Director for Sweat City Fitness.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchanding from Lasell College and a Master’s of Science in International Education with a concentration in Higher Education from Drexel University. 

Cathee was born and raised in Vermont.  She competes in physique competitions under the bikini division and is a marathon runner, top-ranked US Tower Climber, certified Spin instructor through Madd Dog Athletics, and a full-time event planner for a University.   She is always training for a race or competition and loves to discuss fitness and meal prep tips to those who are interested.   Her philosophy is to promote self-love and a healthy lifestyle because being fit is an emotional experience too.

LINDSEY S
NUTRITIONIST

Lindsey is a certified nutritional therapist.  Her passion is helping people live healthy, happy, balanced lives through proper nutrition.  Lindsey began studying the effects of food on the body when her mother became ill when she was eighteen.  She graduated with a bachelors of science degree from Clemson University summa cum laude with honors.  

 

Lindsey was Miss LA and 1st runner up at Miss California USA and has received extensive nutritional training.  She’s currently working in the entertainment industry.
